Social networking is a global revolution, enabling millions of people worldwide to stay in touch with their friends, share experiences and photographs and exchange personal content. The nature of social networking – having such a massive base of users who are unknown to you means that using it carries a degree of risk, such as:

  • Bullying
  •  Online grooming and child abuse
  • Access to age-inappropriate content
  • Encountering comments that are violent, sexual, extremist or racist in nature, or offensive activities and hateful attitudes

By working in partnership

with First Class Youth,

the Safer Smarter Generation programme

highlights the dangers of social media and it’s attractions to the younger generation, but also to parents, teachers and practitioners. We do this by delivering a number of workshops focusing on:

  • Fear
  • Opportunity
  • Mistakes
  • Your options
