Tackling youth unemployment is a priority. Nearly 1.4 million young people are not in employment, full time education or training (NEET) – almost 1 in 5 of all young people in the UK.

Transitions to employment have become increasingly difficult as a result of the economic outlook and the breakdown of traditional pathways into work. 3Es recognise that one-size does not fit all.

Our programme is designed to directly address the needs of young people in a variety of ways. A significant part of the programme is an agreed pathway to work experience.

The Journey to Employment, programme which is accredited by ASDAN, is designed to increase the confidence of the young person by focusing on the following units:

  • Self awareness
  • Decision making
  • Assertiveness
  • Work experience placement

Work experience will give the young person a valuable understanding of the workplace and the conduct expected of them. It can also help them make career choices, set realistic aspirations, and develop employability skills.
